There was once a girl who moved from her beloved hometown of Sydney all the way to Darwin with her hubby to have adventures, discover Australia, learn more, escape her comfort zones, spend less than 2 hours in traffic a day, soak up the Wet season and revel in the Dry, smell the frangipanis, figure out how to grow bogainvillea, delight in the comic and charming ways of finches and magpie geese, learn to drive (finally!), ride a bike for the first time since being a teenager, be attacked ferociously by midges and even more ferociously by nesting lapwings, marvel at the turquoise blue of the harbour, never wear socks, camp under the stars, and open her own shop! The girl is me, Tess, and the shop is Frond. It is full of beautiful and unique things that are made by clever people all across Australia and even further across the oceans. With a focus on the handmade and a penchant for aqua, yellow and fuschia, Frond is a treasure trove of quirky homewares, flirty frocks, and gorgeous accessories tucked into a shady corner of the Star Village.
